The Challenge...

Mustard Seed Oil and Hair Growth - Sass B., Contributor

There are so many claims out there regarding products, whether natural or not, that have the ability to grow hair.  Now we know, typically, as we are reminded by our hair stylists :), that hair tends to grow if it is well treated, well nourished from the inside out, in a healthy scalp, etc....  But, what if there's something out there that will, along with the mentioned, stimulate your scalp and grow your hair with amazing results.  Wouldn't you want to know?  Wouldn't you want to try it?

Well, there is an astounding amount of information out there regarding the use of mustard seed oil for hair growth.  Ever heard of that one?  Not so common as olive oil, coconut oil, and castor oil...  But hear me, you will find a great deal about this oil including this:  Not only is it used by many for hair growth, mustard seed oil is said to also reverse gray hair O_O!  Yeah...  So you know that this had to be the first Teaze challenge!

Application varies but basically you are to massage the oil into your scalp, keep it on a bit (overnight was suggested as well), and then wash your hair.  This is to be done daily, although, I have read some doing it once a week, as well as, applying the oil without washing it out.  ~My mom gets so excited about stuff like this...  Her regimen would be applying the oil every bathroom visit and then adding a little to her under eye area, and then her feet, and so forth...  Then she would call me in her joy (phone dripping with oil) and tell me that this was the best find ever.  You gotta love moms!~

Note that it is the organic "cooking" version of the oil to be applied to the scalp.  Also, a patch test should be done before application (Mom, do you hear me?).  But wait....!  Don't run to the store yet!  Hold on a minute...  Wait to see what happens to our participants before trying it out yourselves.

Be sure to look for the results in the Fall newsletter.
